P: PRAISE

  • Start with praise.
  •  Thanksgiving for specific things He has done in your life: past and present.  Thank Him for His grace, His goodness, His provision, His faithfulness and His love.
  • You can even incorporate a favorite worship song or hymn that sets the tone for your prayer time.

R: REPENTANCE

.Take time to reflect on your actions and your heart attitude and confess any sins you might have committed.

*Ask the Lord to reveal areas in your life that you need to surrender and align with God’s word, His will and His purpose.

*Be intentional about asking for His forgiveness and about making it right with anyone you have conflict or offense with.

A: ASKING:

*Be bold in presenting your requests to Him, knowing that He wants you to come to Him in confidence.

*Trust in God’s wisdom, believing that He truly hears and answers prayers according to His perfect will.

*Remember to talk to Him about any personal struggles, challenges, desires and plans you have.

Y: YES!

*Anchor your prayers in His word.  Declare God’s promises over your life and circumstances.

*Meditate on and thank Him for His faithfulness and past interventions in your life.  Remind yourself of how your faith and confidence were strengthened as He fulfilled His promises.

*Memorize Scriptures that correspond to your needs and claim them in faith, knowing that God’s Word never returns void.

*Consider using a journal where you write down and describe God’s past interventions and  faithfulness in your life.  Read it whenever you wish  to or need to remind yourself of His goodness and to boost your confidence in His ability to fulfill His promises.
